28th June 2011

Tomorrow Wednesday 29th is the day we have been nervously waiting for to find out if the house buyer's finance has been approved, funnily enough both Nancy and I are quite calm about it all now but certainly have all our fingers crossed and it's dreadful to will your life away at our age.
Amazingly the weather is being sensational at the present time and that's a blessing seeing it is school hols in Qld this and next week. Our good neighbours are down south skiing this week, they were scheduled to fly to NZ with friends last Saturday but as you would all be aware the flights to NZ were cancelled due to the Chilean volcano ash cloud. Maria spent a lot of time on her computer and came up with an alternative to the Snowy Mountains. Because of the backlog of Australian domestic flights they couldn’t fly south, so I drove them all to Roma Street station where they caught a train to Casino. They changed trains at Casino and on to Sydney where they were to hire a car and drive to Canberra and so on. Poor Kurt, what an ordeal and I’m sure they wouldn’t have bothered had it not been that it was their friends family’s first snow encounter, so you can imagine how disappointed they would have been missing out on the NZ trip. (it turns out there is B all snow in Queenstown at this time anyway). Let’s hope they have a great week down south we will be looking forward to hearing all about it on the week end. (keep in mind Sonia is our Claytons grand daughter).

Well that’s killed a bit of time, who said I was calm

Keep you posted
