Every time the phone has rung today my heart has jumped expecting it to be the solicitor to let us know our house buyer’s finance has been approved, due today. Well they did phone eventually only to ask for an extension of time for the buyer, as all the banks are all taking a lot longer than usual to approve loans apparently. Solicitor said several contracts had gone the same way lately and thought it may be because it is the end of the financial year. I wonder if it has anything to do with the pending increase in stamp duty. Anyway I’m P’d off, it is so frustrating and it means another open house inspection this coming Saturday, mind you if it doesn’t go through there will plenty more of those as we will have to start the process all over again, (groan). Just thinking about it is stressful so I’ve just had to have a couple of stiff rums to settle my frayed nerves, obviously medicinal purposes only.
