Had a really nice meal and a good few laughs with Ann and
Charlie last night Reminiscent of the old slide nights where you bore the crap
out friends showing holiday snaps, we spent a bit of time checking out some of
the photo highlights of our around Australia trip last year, a lot of them
featuring Ann and Charlie as well. We didn’t overdo it so it was far from
boring on the contrary we had some good laughs. By the time we got back to the
caravan it was freezing, thank goodness for electric blankets, best investment
you can make for a caravan.
We woke to a beautiful day so took the opportunity to spend
the day at Taronga Zoo. Train into the city, bus to Circular Quay, ferry to
Taronga, bus up to the entrance, ferry back to Circular Quay and two trains
home (because we got on the wrong one). All for $2.50 24hr pass – unreal.
I’m not really into zoo’s but I must admit Taronga is
impressive and the journey adds to the enjoyment. Unfortunately it’s spring and
most animals are ensuring the species survives and so they are all in their
boudoirs half the viewing cages were void of life, even the bloody penguins
were in hiding.
